I really like these lights. However, I received them in November and am just now hanging them outside, May 22, 2019. I plugged them in when I received them to make sure they all worked, which they did. Now that I have removed the packaging, one string is perfect but the second has one bulb that came apart from its base when I took it off the cardboard. There are perforations on the cardboard which makes removal easy. I do not dare plug these into the outlet as is. I have ordered replacement bulbs, which I was going to do anyway, but I did not expect or appreciate that I would have to replace one before I even used them.Note, the bulbs are all loose in the packaging so the cardboard will fit between the lights and the base. Each needs to be tightened before use.It is too late for me to return string, so I will wait for replacement bulbs to arrive.When you order, make sure you remove the string from the packaging when it arrives so you can return if any bulbs are defective.I purchased these lights because of the 15 ft. length. That is exact length of the overhang on our patio cover. I hung them on a tight wire using 4 eye hooks mounted into the wood at 5 ft. intervals. I also attached the lights to the wire using plastic zip ties instead of the hooks built into the light socket so that they hung straight down. They look and work great. Another bonus, the lights came with a box of 24 light bulbs so I have nine replacementsThe lightbulbs are paper thin and shatter super easily. Three shattered while hanging them up just from them lightly tapping the wall during the hanging process. I’d only use these indoors unless you got more durable bulbs.We got these for our holiday tree to give it a bit of a different look and it came out beautifully!! The clips on the lights helped us position them just right, and the light they gave off was warm and lovely. Highly recommend!Look cool, but but aware that only can plug 2 strands together or the fuse blows. That was not awesome figuring out and extra extension-cords needed.Love love love these lights. The larger bulbs make each individual color stand out. Bought several more sets so I could do a second tree.Fair price, quick delivery, quality lights and packaging. They made it just fine the whole summer outside on my deck. They are festive and adorable.Bought these for my daughters wedding.
